LifeCare Foodbank provides emergency food relief for our neighbors in the South Kitsap / Olalla area.

LifeCare Community Foodbank

A Spirit of Life Ministry
Established by Spirit of Life in 2000 to address the needs of our neighbors who live with food insecurity in the South Kitsap/Olalla area, LifeCare Foodbank is open every Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm and provides emergency food relief to feed a household for a 4 day period.

​LifeCare Community Foodbank works in cooperation with other agencies in the area. Should our clients need long term assistance we can refer them to local agencies equipped to meet greater needs.

Our Participation Guidelines:

• When visiting LifeCare Community Foodbank for the first time, potential clients, should bring proof of residence/address.
• We are equipped to serve our clients once per month. Adults and family size are taken into consideration for providing food to the household.
• All information will be kept confidential. We do provide the number of clients served to local social service agencies. No personal information is shared.
• We will try to provide clients with enough food for four days. Family size is considered.
• We can assist clients in identifying resources and procedures to help them as they seek to expand their means of support through employment, schooling and other available public assistance. Handouts and fliers are available to help connect clients to other social service agencies.

Interested in helping out?

Needs:
We welcome food and toiletry donations.
• Bulk food items: Flour, rice, oatmeal, sugar, ground coffee
• Dry food items: Top ramen, macaroni and cheese, pasta, cereal
• Peanut butter and jelly
• Non-perishable canned foods: Fruit, vegetables, soup, canned meat, tuna fish
• Paper products: Toilet paper, towels
• Toiletries: Bath soap, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo

Volunteer: 
Volunteers are welcome to assist LifeCare Foodbank. High school and middle school students are welcome to volunteer as part of their community service programs. Please contact the church office for more information.
