We were blessed with quilts headed off to Lutheran World Relief this last Sunday. Our dedicated group of quilters was very busy! Join them tying quilts Thursday, November 11 at 1 pm in the Trillium Room.

Two Spirit of Life members are needed to work with Treasurer Dave Traxel on the proposed budget for 2022. This is a short-term commitment that involves preparing a budget that will be presented at the January 2022 congregational meeting. Please contact Dave if you could share your gifts in this way. 

On Sunday, October 24, Spirit of Life will celebrate our faithful, hard-working quilting group and bless the quilts they have created. These quilts will be given to Lutheran World Relief for distribution throughout the world. LWR distributed its first quilts in 1945 to families in war-torn Europe following the Second World War. Within a decade, the ministry was reaching around the globe to villages far removed from the world’s attention. Today, an average of 300,000 quilts - including those from Spirit of Life - are lovingly given worldwide each year. Thanks to our quilters for all their hard work.

And speaking of LifeCare, on Tuesday, Oct. 12, the food bank received a GRREEEAATTT donation. A neighbor of Spirit of Life Lutheran Church brought in 144 full-size boxes of Frosted Flakes. The neighbor stated that he and his family had been helped in the past by places like LifeCare and he wanted to help others. We are so grateful for the generous people in our community.
